Providers

Cynthia Jenkins, PhD

When I entered college, I was sure that I would become a medical doctor. What I learned in college was that I preferred to work on the preventive side of the equation so that medical issues were less likely to occur or less impactful if they did occur. With this bend in the river, I decided to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia so that I could help people like you, optimize your physical and emotional health.

My continued commitment to a holistic vision of emotional and physical health, led me, more recently, to become certified as an Integrative Mental Health Provider. That means, when it makes sense to, we can explore how traditional, complementary and alternative approaches might help you feel your best.

I tend to draw from the fields of

  • biology and neuroscience
  • mindfulness
  • attachment theory
  • cognitive-behavioral therapy and
  • positive psychology.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Virginia but I have the ability practice telehealth with people in most of the 50 states thanks to E.Passport and the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology under the Authority of the PSYPACT Commission. The following states are the exception: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Montana, New Mexico, New York and Oregon.

David Dameron, PhD

I have spent my career forming collaborative relationships that target an individual’s unique needs. I start by taking the time to understand what you are needing, what you see as the problem, and then laying out a plan with you to address the problem(s) to achieve an identified goal and outcome.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from USIU in San Diego, and my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from John F. Kennedy University in San Francisco. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Virginia.

At this point in my career, I am working part-time, offering ADHD evaluations to help people understand themselves and make recommendations for treatment.
